Outfit of the Day: Adidas Print Leggings

Sep 4, 2014 | Kit, Running | 3 comments

I remember back to the days when my gym kit was all black for fear of showing any sweat. I didn’t want to draw any unnecessary attention to myself in a class or on a machine, so I tried to remain anonymous. These days, when it comes to kit, I tend to have the opinion of the brighter the better. Anything with a pretty detail, an eye catching pattern, or dash of colour is a winner.
These Adidas Ultimate Fit Pant Allover Print Tights are one of my fave’s at the moment, I particularly love the hints of mint green poking through. They’re the perfect summer/autumn transition legging, providing full coverage but in a light summery pattern, to see us through what I hope will be a warm September.
I teamed these gorgeous leggings with a black HeatGear ArmourVent top from Under Armour. I love that the top looks plain from the front, but has a cut out and panel of mesh at the back. Perfect for hot and sticky summer runs or sweaty workout classes. I wish I’d worn a brightly coloured bra underneath for contrast, but alas I have a very poor selection of colourful running bras!  Apparently these have sold out but I’ve found two similar Under Armour tops- the Back in Action Tank  and the Essential Banded Tank.
My shoes for the run were of course my Adidas Boost – the springiest, bounciest running shoes I own. Perfect long distance shoes and the ideal trainer to hit the streets on London in!
These photos were shot a few mornings ago on a run along the Thames by the very lovely Abi– have a look at her lovely blog afloralcrown.blogspot.co.uk.

I love bright coloured running clothes but have hardly any. 🙁 There was a great shop I found in New York last year, but other than that I’ve found most shops in the UK tend to stick to plain black or dark colours.

Those leggings make your legs look out of focus!
