Running Kit I’m Stocking up on Black Friday 2023

Nov 19, 2023 | Kit, Running

Black Friday sales are a great time to stock up on essentials like running fuel, socks, and sports bras, as well as picking up pricier items, your next pair of trainers, a new running jacket or just something pretty you’ve had your eye on. With that said, I’m really trying not to go overboard this year and am only picking up a few ‘essentials’ – in particular I want to try to find a new waterproof running jacket.

I find sales overwhelming and I know I can’t be alone in that, so I’ve shared just a few items from my top running brands which I hope is useful (contains affiliate links).

Running Fuel; Gels, Blocks, Electrolytes etc

I’m personally using Black Friday as a great opportunity to try out some new products including NeverSecond and Skratch Labs from XMiles. If you like SIS gels they are 20% off! Of course I also threw some Precision Fuel and Hydration gels in too.

Using code THERUNNERBEANS also gets you an extra 5% off Black Friday orders for first time purchasers at XMiles.

Sweaty Betty

SB have 25-50% off EVERYTHING! I bought the leopard print reflective leggings and the green/pink leopard print leggings I’ve been wearing non-stop are 25% off too. I wear the 7/8 power leggings with a side pocket all the time – some are 50% off.

It’s also the perfect chance to pick up another pair of my fave 6inch cycling shorts with 25% off.

Oh and if you love this fleece as much as I do, take advantage of the discount (or tell your family to buy it now for your Christmas pressie!)

ON Running

I’ve been looking for a breathable water repellent running jacket for years and the ON Weather Jacket comes highly recommended. It’s currently on sale for £50 off at The Sports Edit whilst you can get last season’s colours directly at ON for £110.

Lululemon

I’ve heard really good things about the Break a Trail waterproof jacket, and it’s currently £99 off and available in most sizes (of course the cuter white version isn’t on sale! The Cross Chill jacket is a warmer waterproof jacket with fleece lining and currently £50 off. (I also have my eye on trying out the Mist Over Windbreaker)

Asics

I love the Novoblast 3’s – they are such a versatile shoe – I’ve done speed work miles and run marathons in them! (I can’t wait to test out the Novoblast 4s when they launch properly, I very nearly bought a pair at the NYC marathon expo but didn’t end up having time!)

Asics have 30% off both the Novoblast 3 and the Nimbus 25 with code BLACKFRIDAY.

Saucony

I really like the Saucony Peregrine trail shoes (although I should have gone up a full size rather than half size) so was pleased to see these in the sale for over £50 off. I found they deal really well with the slick mud we have here on the tow path as well as woodland trails – I don’t run very many technical trails so haven’t tested them out on anything too serious!

If you’re looking for a racing shoe (which I hope I will be in 2024!!) then you might be interested to know that the Endorphin Pro 3 are £90 off whilst the well reviewed Endorphin Speed 3 are over 40% off and under £100!

New Balance

Fans of the Fresh Foam 1080 can pick up a deal on the v12 now that the v13 is out. Whilst New Balance haven’t released their offers at the time of writing this, many others are selling NB goodies, including Sweat Betty at 50% off while Sports Shoes also have them at £89.99.

Adidas

Adidas have a number of their trail shoes on offer, however for race day/speed shoes the best deals seem to be a the retailers such as SportsShoes who have the Adizero Adios Pro 3 for £60 off.

Brooks

For fellow Ghost lovers, I couldn’t find any in the sale, but if you are a fan of the Glycerin 20 or the Adrenaline GTS, then take advantage of the 20-30% off at Brooks.

Tracksmith

I have to admit, I was hoping their infamous Van Cortlandt ‘sash’ kit was in the Black Friday sale after seeing so many runners in them at their Turkey Trot on thursday – so I went to check online and found that everything is 20% off with code HARVEST20. Which means that my fave Harrier Long Sleeve which was already discounted is now reduced from £84 to £47. And the Van Cortland long sleeve is £62.

Nike

With 25% off site wide, this is your chance to pick up any kit you might have had your eye on. Maybe an expensive pair of racing shoes that you’ve been eyeing up to help you achieve a PB in 2024…If you’re looking for a Vaporfly or Alphafly, check out the deals at ProDirect and Sports Direct – I picked up a pair of the black and gold Vaporfly 3s to try and run fast this spring!

Garmin

Black Friday is the perfect time to upgrade your running watch or pick up a christmas present for a keen runner in your family. Currently Amazon seem to have the best deals, including £50 off the Forerunner 55, a great entry level watch whilst the Fenix 7S solar is over £200 off (you can also save £150 on the Fenix 7S 47mm at Currys).

Overall, currently the best deals seem to be at the running retailers rather than the individual brands – Sports Shoes, Runners Need and ProDirect all have big sales on if you’re looking for new shoes. I’ll be updating this with more Black Friday deals as they come through.

What are you hoping to pick up in the Black Friday/Cyber monday sales?
