A Green Smoothie Update

Apr 16, 2013 | Uncategorized | 1 comment

Firstly, I have to start this post by saying how saddened I am by the events at the Boston Marathon yesterday. For many runners Boston is the pinnacle race, and most work incredibly hard to get there. I don’t know why they targeted the running community, and its supporters, but it’s devastating. My thoughts are with the runners, family, spectators and those that have been injured, as well as all those running the London Marathon next weekend with this added fear.

Across blog world today, people are wearing their race shirts in support of the victims. I’m wearing my Bath Half top, the toughest race, mentally, that I have ever taken part in. Put your race shirt on, go for a run…do it for Boston, do it because you can.

So my Green smoothie drinking has been going fairly well, if you’re allowed to cheat and sometimes buy a green smoothie?! So I bought a Naked green machine on Sunday and called that the smoothie of the day.

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions, links and comments. I’m really enjoying my daily green smoothies, although getting some odd looks at the office (I’m generally drinking mine during my afternoon slump as a pick me up!).

This week’s smoothies are from a number of your recipe suggestions, including

Stoked to Go

Avocado Smoothie

Laura’s Chocolate and Peanut Butter Green Smoothie (got to have a treat sometimes!!)
