Boxing Day Sales Picks: Activewear and Athleisure 2020

Dec 26, 2020 | Kit, Running | 3 comments

I’m having a sofa day… aside from a walk with Chester and Tom in our local woods, I’ve pretty much moved from sofa to fridge and back again. And it has been glorious – I don’t think I realised how much I needed a down day. It has given me some time to have a dig through the sales websites… I haven’t quite added all of these items to my virtual shopping baskets. But I’m looking forward to a few deliveries in the next few days!

Boxing Day Sales Picks:

Activewear

Sweaty Betty

I’ve recently bought a couple of pairs of the High Waisted 7/8 Running leggings – cute patterns and side pockets big enough for your phone! Some pairs are reduced to £38 whilst others are reduced to £66 from £78. I’m also a little bit obsessed with their high rise high shine leggings – wearing a pair as I type this! Some colours are reduced from £70 to £35.

This wool crew neck jumper would be perfect to throw on with jeans or over leggings before/after a run – and it’s reduced from £100 to £70.

Lululemon

My top Lululemon sale pics are a running vest and jacket! I wear a running gilet a lot and the Down for it All Vest (I’m wearing the black version in the pic below) is reduced from £148 to £64! The jacket version is also reduced from £198 to £89.

These bright pink shorts are amazing – yes I’m thinking of warmer times and they are reduced from £48 to £34 for the long version (there are also other colours for less). They also have Fast and Free shorts on sale. I have a lot of pairs these running shorts! I love a beanie, and this pom pom hat is so cute!

New Balance

I LOVE this red New Balance windbreaker (I have a similar one from a couple of years ago in blue and orange). I’ve worn Fresh Foam 1080‘s in the past and they’re so soft and bouncy – and they newest version are reduced to £62.50 (check out my review of the 1080’s here). These shiny black leggings are also super cute and reduced to £42!

Asics

This tank is one of my favourite Asics tops – whilst the black and white one I have isn’t in the sale, the orange/black and white/teal versions are and for under £20. This Race Sleeveless tank comes in a number of colours and would be perfect for summer racing and winter layering. I love these retro Gel Nimbus 22 Lite Show trainers – these are strictly treadmill only shoes in my house!

Electronics

The.sales are a perfect time to pick up a new watch – Runners Need have the Garmin 645 bundle for £219.99 and the Garmin Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire reduced from £650 to £445. You could also try the Nurvv Run insoles for £75 off – read more about them on my instagram.

For most of my marathons, Ive worn Aftershokz bone conduction headphones, they are great for jamming out to your music whilst still being able to hear the crowd and your spectators around you. The Aftershokz Trek Titanium are reduced from £109.95 to £65 at Runners Need!

So it’s not technically IN the sale, but it is now finally ON sale in the UK…the Peloton Tread launched today in the UK. I am so tempted to buy one as I love the feedback when doing the Peloton spin classes and wish I had that when I did the tread classes! If you’ve been thinking about purchasing a treadmill for 2021 check out my blog on buying a tread.

Athleisure

Uggs

Are Uggs back in? I’ve certainly got my eye on a pair and they seem very appropriate for the stay-at-home winter vibe. There are some that aren’t the classic UGG boot style of the noughties. These Elisa Boots are reduced to £115.99 and would be so warm. (Currently sold out in my size but I’ve added myself to the ‘waitlist.’) I have to admit I’m tempted by a pair of the old school styles. The Essential Mini Class is under £100, and this cute Mini Bailey Bow Boot is reduced to £131.99.

Comfy Cosies

Abercrombie had some amazing sale picks last year and this year is no different. I bought this asymmetrical fleece last year and have worn it a tonne throughout the year. Sadly I’m too late for a couple of the leopard print ones but this one is still available.

This Turtleneck sweatshirt is only £17.59 and comes in four colours, ideal to throw on with jeans or leggings! I think I’m going to order the white version.

This Sherpa Shirt Jacket (£56.70) looks SO snuggly. Personally I think I’m going to get the checked version but there’s also a cute leopard print one. Yes the leopard print obsession continues into 2021!

This quilted anorak with detachable fur hood looks perfect for dog walks, and is reduced to £69.99.

I’ve been loving long line cardigans this winter and have this Navy one from Whistles that’s reduced to £75 in the sale. This leopard print version from Mango has been my go-to since October.
